Our judge for this year’s competition was Judy Sarkozy, owner of Sarkozy Bakery who chose Brown Bear, Brown Bear by Michael Center.

People’s Choice Award, chosen by vote among the public, went to “Sheep’s Come Undone” by the Tiara Book Club

Also on display in the KBAC gallery will be “Good Eats,” our annual exhibition of paintings, prints, photographs, and artist’s books on the delectable subject of food.

In 2014 our Grand Prize, chosen by our judge, Chris Dilley of the People’s Food Co-op was awarded to Beverly Fitzpatrick for her entry “Bun Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest.”   Chris Orsolini’s edible book “The Velveeta Rabbit” received the People’s Choice Award, chosen by vote among the public. Roadside Nourishment Just Ahead, Photograph, Ron Testa

From Dutch still-life paintings to Campbell’s Soup cans, our obsession with food is a readymade subject for art! Open to all emerging and established artists, this exhibition features two-dimensional works of art—fine prints, paintings, and collages—that incorporate food in their subject. This exhibit shared it’s opening with our Eighth Annual Edible Book Festival.
