Valleyfolk Commemorative Poster
This poster was created to commemorate VALLEYFOLK, a handmade book created by Western Michigan University students, Camille Day, Hana Holmgren, and Rozlin Opolka. The book contains poems by eleven poets accompanied by handmade paper and linocuts by the designers. VALLEYFOLK was funded by a Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs, New Leaders Grant. The poster features a linoleum cut from the book along with the same wood type used to create the cover off the book. it was printed on the KBAC’s Vandercook letterpresses in green and black ink on archival off-white paper. It is 12” x 15”.
